About Us

Chapter Background

Our territory reaches south to the Calapooia River, up to the North Santiam River, east into the foothills of the Cascades, and west to the Oregon Coast.  We are headquartered in Corvallis, Oregon and hold monthly meetings (first Wednesdays) at the Watershed Flyshop in Corvallis.

TU National’s website has a great interactive map that’s been recently updated with chapter territories.  Check it out!

The good news is, you don’t have to live in our area to be a chapter member.  If you grew up in our area and want to be kept up to date on what the Bluebacks are doing to create community and improve coldwater fisheries in the Mid-Willamette Valley, contact TU’s Jeff Yates at jyates@tu.org to change your chapter affiliation.

About the Chapter

The Bluebacks are headquartered in Corvallis, Oregon. Our territory reaches south to the Calapooia River, up to the North Santiam River, east into the foothills of the Cascades, and west to the Oregon Coast. The chapter was started in April 2013 with the goal of reaching out to young, diverse audiences and engaging them in fly fishing, conservation, and leadership. We accomplish our goals through river cleanup, casting lessons, youth education, and spawning surveys.
